Are you ready for another great bacon-filled cycling event?

BACooN RIDE Presented by Veridian Credit Union will return on June 15, 2019!

Like to ride Bicycles?  Like Bacon? Like the Raccoon River Valley Trail?

Put it all together and you have the BACooN RIDE starting and ending in Waukee.  Enjoy a 71-mile on the scenic Raccoon River Valley Trail featuring bacon specialty foods along the way.  This is the ultimate RAGBRAI training ride as you BIKE, EAT & RIDE like you do on RAGBRAI!

REGISTRATION FEES $55!
(through May 1, 2019)

 

The event is organized by by RAGBRAI©, the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival and the Iowa Bicycle Coalition and will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019!  Not only will the BACooN RIDE SIX be great fun, but proceeds benefits the Iowa Bicycle Coalition, RAGBRAI’s Dream Team and other great Iowa charities!

Here are details for the 2019 Ride:

The BACooN RIDE SIX: The PORK CHOP registration includes:

  • Numerous BACON stops featuring BACON snacks and samples throughout the day (You will receive approximately 9 BACON items at these BACON stops throughout the ride!)
  • BACON-themed lunch
  • A commemorative PassPORK (punch card for your BACON treats!)
  • Awesome drink specials at numerous BACON party stops (including BACON-themed drinks)
  • Custom BACooN RIDE SIX Moisture-wicking Performance T-shirt
  • Commemorative BACooN RIDE SIX coozie
  • Ride support/mechanics

Before May 1 – $55
Before June 1 – $65
Before June 10 – $75
Before June 12 – $85
Before June 13 – $95
Before June 14 – $105

Jersey options adds $65 to above registrations.

ARRIVAL/DIRECTIONS:

Here are the directions you need to get to Centennial Park (1255 Warrior Lane, Waukee, Iowa 50263):

From Interstate 80:

  • Take exit 118 onto Grand Prairie Parkway
  • Head north to the intersection of Grand Prairie Parkway and University Avenue
  • Turn Left and head west
  • If you are camping please be in the middle lane of University Avenue and continue to the intersection of Warrior Lane and turn right.
  • If you are coming for packet pick-up please be in the right lane of University Avenue and turn right onto Ashworth Drive

From Interstate 80/35:

  • Take exit 124 onto University Avenue
  • Head west on University Avenue
  • If you are camping please be in the middle lane of University Avenue and continue to the intersection of Warrior Lane and turn right.
  • If you are coming for packet pick-up please be in the right lane of University Avenue and turn right onto Ashworth Drive
