We are thrilled to welcome you to the highly anticipated Bacoon Ride – the ultimate cycling adventure filled with bacon delights! As you prepare for the ride, we want to provide you with some important information to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Route:
Get ready to pedal through the picturesque Raccoon River Valley Trail. Counter Clockwise traveling to Minburn, Dallas Center, and Perry in the morning and returning through Redfield and Adel in the afternoon. Please be aware of water (fill up in Dawson) because there aren’t public sources of water until Yale. Boy Scouts along the trail will be selling water.
Packet Pickup:
You will need to bring your printed receipt or be prepared to show the receipt on your mobile device.

Camping:
Camping during the Bacoon Ride is available at Centennial Park. Immerse yourself in the event atmosphere by joining fellow riders for a memorable night under the stars. Prepare your camping gear and get ready to create lifelong memories.

SAG Support:
SAG is provided by Thirsty Pigs this year and will stop at designated areas near the food stop and bike shop in towns at the time of service closure. Please remember SAG is not an “on-call” service. Riders with non-traditional bike frames (tandems and trike recumbents) may need to consider alternate plans for bike transport. You cannot call the number to request a ride. When the SAG is full, they will return to the start in Waukee. SAG cannot pick up riders on the trail. If you have an emergency, call 911. If you have problems that we can help with, call 319.936.4948.

1:45 – 2:00 PM in Perry (if full, SAG will return to Waukee)
3:15 – 3:30 PM in Jamaica
4:15 – 5:00 PM in Panora
5:15 – 5:30 PM in Redfield
5:45 – 6 PM in Adel (return to Waukee)
